Daily Grammatical Errors And Its Corrections.


The following are some of the grammatical errors common in the daily conversations of a typical Nigerian, African, Black-American and of course, Whites.

      ERROR        CORRECTION
  • Ear piece =      Ear phone
  • Escape goat = A scape goat
  • Ten sheeps =  Ten sheep
  • Mother in laws = Mother's in law
  • Plate number =   Number plate
  • Open teeth =    Gap tooth
  • K-leg            =  knock knees
  • Many peoples = Many people
  • Down NEPA = Power outage
  • Up NEPA =  Power has been restored
  • Two trousers = Two pairs of trousers
  • Drinking water = Drinkable water
  • Driving license = Driver's license
  • Watching movies = seeing movies
  • A shoe       =              A pair of shoes
  • I was bitten by rain = I was drenched
  • I saw your missed calls = missed your call
  • Keke napep =             Tricycle
